Intact-mass analysis asks whether the measured molecular mass is consistent with the expected compound. Chromatography estimates the relative area assigned to the principal peak under a defined method. Bacterial-endotoxin testing addresses a microbiological attribute that neither a mass spectrum nor a purity chromatogram can establish.

A useful analytical report identifies the tested product, test method, units, acceptance limit, measured result, and reporting laboratory. Identity support is not sequence proof; chromatographic area is not fill quantity; and a purity result is not a sterility result.
